Vintage Letters #1

June 10th 1895

Dear Brother and Sister;
I will now try and answer your letter. I have been having very poor health this summer have been sick for over two months not down in bed but too sick to do anything. The trouble is my lungs. I do not think I can ever get well. I took treatment from the doctor and it did not do me a particle of good. I am taking “Dr Pierces Golden Medicine Discovery” it is said to be a good lung medicine. I am so nervous, I can hardly write... 

Emm's message continues on pages 2 & 3 of her handwritten letter.  Both of of the final pages are included on page 2 of this two page collection.   

Have you ever heard a voice on the other end of a phone call and then imagined what that person must look like...  Well, that's kind of what we did when we matched the 19th century woman with Emm's letter.  Emm wasn't feeling well on June 10th, 1895 and forgot to include a picture for us to use some one hundred and sixteen years later.  That's ok, we forgive you Emm...  After we read your letter, we rummaged through our large collection of original photographs and found one that we thought would work perfectly with your story.
